OMEGA Spotlight-Kim Figgins

Here at OMEGA we like to highlight our wonderful merchants, partners and employees. The OMEGA Spotlight is our way of showing our appreciation for businesses and individuals that help make OMEGA succeed!

OMEGA Spotlight would like to highlight Kim Figgins and her work with the Irreverent Warriors. Kim is a Marine Corps Veteran and current employee here at OMEGA. Her work with the Irreverent Warriors, whose mission is to prevent veteran suicide through humor and camaraderie, spans over multiple years.  

This past weekend, Kim coordinated the Cincinnati Irreverent Warriors Hike after having brought the program to the city in 2018.   She has participated in these hikes via Baltimore and in Washington DC for the past 3 years. Finally, the CEO of the organization spoke with Kim and together they decided to bring these hikes to Cincinnati.  

The events are well known to Veterans throughout the nation as being fun hikes that are 22 km long (appx 13 mi) with a 22 kg pack (appx 50 lbs) while wearing silkies shorts (as Vets wore for PT in the military) and their combat boots. Cincinnati’s first hike was this past October and they had a head count of 30 people, this year that number grew to 80.  

Kim is not only an A+ hike coordinator, she also excels at her job as a Merchant Relationship Specialist. OMEGA couldn’t be more proud to have her on the team!
